Frequently asked questions

How to start your tattoo career

We want to streamline the process as much as possible for potential students looking to be involved in our mentorship program. Here are some frequently asked questions on how to navigate the application process.

What is the application process?

Send a request for information about the school either through this website or directly via email (info@deadgodstattooacademy.com), and we will contact you with our catalog which includes the application to be submitted with your portfolio.

Your portfolio should include a minimum of 10 unique images that give us a peek into your current artistic ability and demonstrate basic art understanding.

Acceptable files are .jpeg/.jpg, .png, or .pdf. We will not accept .docx or any other file types. If your image files are not .jpeg/.jpg, .png, or .pdf, please convert them before submitting your application.

No, we do not offer any internal financing or payment plans for your tuition. We are accredited in the state of Oregon, and as such we do qualify for many third-party financing programs. All finance agreements should be handled between you and your lender.

The only ways to begin the application process are through this website or directly via email (info@deadgodstattooacademy.com). If you have directly messaged us on social media we will do our best to provide you with this email address or website link so that you may begin the process. However, there is no guarantee we will respond on social media in a timely manner.

We hope so! Dead Gods Tattoo Academy makes no guarantee of licensure or job placement. However, we will give you all the tools and training necessary to secure those things for yourself. We are here to provide the required hours needed for licensure in Oregon, but we are not able to license you. We can only show you the door, you’re the one who has to walk through it.
